That was good. A few "ahhhh..... they're cute" moments. I hob nob with MNR guys closer to Toronto and they need to relocate bears out of the urban areas once in a while. Not as nice as what they do in the video but I'll bet it's a nice break from the routine.

Dood, interesting bike. Did you customize it yourself or was it all f#@ked up when you bought it?

I lived in Jasper National park many years ago and during those years it was still fashionable to feed bears. It was also before the bear proof garbage cans.
I was friends with a couple of the wardens in the south region of the park, and got to help with many "relocation's". Had many close encounters with black bears and also Grizzlies. I always had a huge respect for them, but really most of them just wanted to be left alone.
Fast forward 30 years and every once in a while I get to work out on the Cold Lake air weapons range where they have strict training on how to deal with bears. You are not allowed to even stop to look at one on the side of the road, and they forbid workers to have any contact with them at all. The result is that they view humans just like Coyotes. (They are no threat at all) I have had a bear get within about 15 feet of me while I was inspecting a pressure vessel, and it really did not even give me a second look.
From my observations, bear trouble is usually a result of stupid humans. If they are left alone, they really don't care much about us.
