Awesome, I think this is going to be my next bike. Anyone who is also turned off by the exhaust might want to know the system with the passenger pegs is 43lbs! Brock makes one that weighs around 8 pound plus one more for a end cap silencer.  That puts the 14 down to the weight of a blackbird! Incredible for a 1441cc bike.

I recently added ZX10 wheels and an Akrapovic 4 into 1 exhaust to my ZX14 and it now weighs under 500 pounds.  A Shorai battery will drop another 10 pounds.

For reference, a group of my friends and I all weighed our bikes on the same scale at Wheelers Performance bike shop down in Robbinsville, North Carolina.  Here is what the scales read:

601 pounds - 2001 ZX11 all stock
560 pounds - 2006 Hayabusa, all stock
555 pounds - 1999 Blackbird with Two Brothers slip-ons and Corbin seat
535 pounds - 1999 Blackbird with 4/1 custom exhaust
540 pounds - 2008 VFR all stock
514 pounds - 2008 ZX14 with Muzzy CF slip-ons
414 pounds - 2003 GSXR race prepped
460 pounds - 2006 CBR1000 all stock
435 pounds - 2004 R6 with slip-on exhaust

You guys have any problems with ground clearance? I was thinking of taking the feelers off and maybe using a shorter peg or grinding the stock ones down.  Anyone thinking noooo way these would work?

They work just fine on my ZX-14 but they will reduce the available ground clearance/lean angle.  If you want to compensate for the loss of ground clearance you could go to stiffer springs since the ZX-14 seems to be under sprung for most riders.

I have 63k on my '07 zx14. It is mostly stock now, with the secondary butterflies removed and a PCIII installed. I had some titanium Scorpions on, but put the stock exhaust back on after some unwanted attention. Stealth mode seems to keep me out of trouble. This winter's maintenance saw me doing my first valve adjusting, with three intakes tight. And it is getting some suspension love this year: Traxxion Dynamics AK20 cartridge kit is on its way and I'm on the hunt for an Ohlins shock. Only two more months 'til riding season Sad
