Holy crap, Triumph's gonna be there.  I wonder if this means they're ditching the demo days?

We're planning on Sunday morning- hoping it's lightly attended enough to actually sit on a bike this year.

I'll be there spending most of my time at the Ton-Up Chicago booth. I'll be selling prints of some of my motorcycle shots, mostly vintage subject matter.

Dangit, I'm not going to be able to make it up there this year.  Sad

Someone can feel free to take a test sit on the Triumph Street Triple for me.

I'll be wondering the show floor Saturday morning with a couple guys from work.   I haven't been to the show in several years...  Not looking forward to the crowds.

Sooo, did you guys see anything you liked?

I was mostly looking at gear (no surprise).  Sadly, the stores that brought gear had racks and racks of men's stuff, but nothing for women.  (Again, no surprise.)  The one bright spot was the BMW dealership that had brought Olympia in for the show.  They had some really nice fitting stuff, and have apparently changed the fit on their pants since I bought mine 5 years ago.

I also enjoyed sitting on bikes.  They all feel a lot different now.  I liked how the Multi felt, as well as the Ninja 1000.

Miles had a good time too!

BTW, I heard from the dealer who was working the Triumph booth that they are in fact discontinuing Demo Days.

Not a single supermoto to be seen.  Maybe the SM trend has jumped the shark?  Headscratch

Ninja 1000 was way bigger than I remember, but looked nice kitted with the heated grips and touring screen.  I didn't see it before, but I'm a little dubious of the rear brake reservoir tied in to the passenger peg; seems way too easy to kick off.

The KLX250 was kind of a surprise- 6 speed, looked well suspended, for a decent price.  The guys at Zero were also pretty cool.  They have a commuting bike with a 85mph top speed, 150 mile range, and sub 300 lbs weight.   Thumbsup

Sad  I talked to Greg from MCC and it is true. No demo rides for Triumph this year.  Sad
