O.K. , I`ve had enough , they suck , if your vehicle has one I hate you . Twofinger

It seems every POS 10-15+ years old Acura, Audi , BMW ,Honda , Mazda , Nissan , Subaru , Toyota and VW has them installed . Have I mentioned they suck ? They illuminate everything but the road but asshat / asshatness behind the wheel thinks they are best thing in the universe and maga-hyper cool . The glare is just unbearable , there is no question in my mind pilots approaching O`Hare complain about that garbage too .

Anyway , let`s get to the point ,  revenge is a must . Head on engagements are not a problem , I just flip high beams , Vovlos have very powerfull driving lights . Bigok The problem is when those dicks are behind me .

Both my cars have sunroof , I`m thinking about throwing random objects in the air ? . Both my cars have rear window washers , how about reversing nozzles 180 deg and filling reservoir with Yack urine ?

How about mounting 200W Hella rally light on the rear bumper ( you know "back up " lights ) and fitting it with " malfunctioning " switch  ?

What do you recommend ? I`m open to new ideas .

BTW , owners of late 90s Subaru Legacy get a pass from me . I drove one in Colorado mountains in the pitch dark , absolutely the worse OEM headlights in the history of the automobile . We resorted to using flash lights on the switchbacks .Fur Real .

What's better than one blinded driver heading down the road? Two blinded drivers headed towards each other  Thumbsup

Yes, I have a 93 legacy - the headlights suck ass. I'm going to add a set of 3000Lm LEDs to it like I have on the bike  Lol

Yrs ago I thought about what to do about blinding lights behind me - while I was in a 2 lane construction zone for about 15 miles, because the dickhead van behind me had his brights on...

Best I came up with: a mirror on the rear deck (between the rear seat and the rear window) w/ strings through the hooks above the rear doors to tilt the mirror up off the deck.
It'd be easy to do w/ a piece of cardboard and some silver mylar...

I agree that these things are awgul, and steps should be taken . . .

Please add those folks who insist on motoring with their fog/driving lights activated at all times.

Thank you.

There's been a lot of concern-rightly-over here about bike's with HID conversions. Don't do it unless you like blinding cagers.

I agree with the BS HIDs. Around here its mostly POS Civics and lifted full size trucks. Lets not forget about the asshats on Sport Bikes that have them installed as well.  Bigok

I have them on mine, but since the Busa headlight assy sucks, the low is aimed too low anyway and it does not blind people at all. Now the high beam projector .. that's another story  Lol

The HID's in my Sprint are fantastic, lighting up everything except the road ahead when in anything resembling a lean.  Great illumination in front, though, and I'd still put them in even knowing they didn't solve the no clue where your going when turning in the dark problem...

Most of the ricer car boiz aren't running HID conversions because they cost too much. They're running blue-tinted replacement bulbs in their OEM socket (some times ramped up in brightness).

You can get HID kits for like $30 on ebay.

I feel the need to interject on this topic.

I agree with you 100% with the POS's with HID kits.

HOWEVER.  I have them on my Sprint.  Yes they are bright, but they are projector headlights so you don't get the terrible glare like you do from an 1988 civic.  Also they are 5300k, not 10000k stupid ugly ass blue.

I've also seen them on Scion's.  Same deal, projector headlights.  With a proper Kelvin temp bulb, they are acceptable on the road.

That is all.  Carry on.

Thumbsup There's a local peckerhead with a lifted pick-up who thought that wasn't cool enough so he installed HIDs not only in his low beam positions, but his GD fog lights as well. Of course he always has them on. Every morning I encounter him at the Timmies and every morning I put my hand out the window and flip him off.

I had a guy I knew with an old POS car in high school.  He ran a braided grease line through the floor into his exhaust, and had a grease gun bolted on the floor on the front.    When the engine and exhaust was hot, he'd pump that sucker and pour grease into the exhaust, creating a billowing cloud of smoke behind him.  That might work.   Lol

I have done 5000k kits in projector beam housings and its acceptable when aimed properly. Like you said its the mornic 10000k purple HIDs (that are useless by the way) installed in regular reflectors that look like ass and blind everyone in sight that I have an issue with. I want to shoot them out with a handgun.  Lol

I hate those friggin lights.
The guy who normally is on my bumper for 30 miles has 4 HID's that go constantly. I do know he can see well with them. I have been on a dark road behind him and the highway looks like the 50 yard line at a Titan's game. When I'm in front of him feels like I'm trying to escape a Spielberg Spacecraft. At 6:00p, after a hard day - those lights are instant headache. I don't know how he doesn't understand what he is doing to his fellow commuters.
Now - where's that what's for drink'n tonight thread.
