Pictures of your bike and something
«
on:

So...we have the pictures of your bike and nothing. Between that, the one picture one story thread and now and then thread in the ride reports section, I've been enjoying living vicariously through all the pics. So how about one picture representing your bike and someplace special in the background.
Hurricane ridge in Washington state, circa 2008.

My bike at a boat crossing (the bike is on the other side). I nearly laid the bike over in surprise when I saw this thing rising out of the water beside me.

There's something fishy about this photo in downtown Boise, ID.
If the state highway sign in Kuna, ID isn't funny enough, there's a lube shop, too.
This one is from 1973 in Davenport, CA. Those look sort of like the White Cliffs of Dover.

Hobbit town is an old abandoned encampment off CR 550 near Gardner CO, where all the structures are built into the hillside - more pics below if interested.

A couple old Wings at the Polka Dot Cafe on Route 66 back in '98. My first long ride ever on a motorcycle. In the background you can see Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Jerry Lee Lewis and Betty Boop statues. Yes, I was pulling a motorcycle camper.

Only been riding for 5 months so don't have a lot to share yet. This is on FM 311 near Spring Branch, TX. The sign is on a private road, says Barking Chicken Rd.
Five months? That's a well-sorted ride for a noob, Dave. You may be a natural.
What kind of cases go with those racks?
My bike and some epic weather (garbanzo-sized accumulating hailstones, lightning and fog all at once).

Riding does seem to come natural. I did ride in the Imperial Sand Dunes for many years back in the 90's, started on a 3 wheeler and then a 4 wheeler, but this is my first 2 wheeler. For a 600cc she gets up and moves pretty well so not the best starter bike. I've ridden almost 6,000 miles since I got it in September 2011. It came with the SW Motech mounts and Givi V35 panniers (which were not used on these rides).
This other pic is self explanatory as of location, Washington on the Brazos near Navasota, TX. The biggest problem was time of day and placement. A black bike in shadows with a bright background. Did my best with a point-n-shoot Olympus.

Yep. Love the bike and the state. Wide open spaces, a mix of long straight roads east of the mountains and some nice curvy ones west of them. Not much traffic where I am. Great riding.
