Hey all. 2000 Speed Triple. I've noticed lately that I sometimes have to turn the key off and back on before the starter will do its thing. Short somewhere?

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why it posted in Kawasaki.
Any way I can get this moved to the appropriate forum please mods?

It would also start every time as well.

Hilariousness. For what it's worth, huge Kawi guy. And yeah, you're probably right, it would've started if it were Kawi, but it sure has kwir...COUGH...personality! 8^)

Get into the battery and loosen/retighten the wires going to the terminals.
My friends Sprint ST gets a little flakey like that once in a while. Apparently his bike has quite a sensitive electrical system.

Actually, that sounds EXACTLY like what might be happening. Thanks!
Gawd I love this forum. Thanks for the humor all. Needed it. Been a hectic week.

While you're in there check for corrosion inside the negative wire coming off the battery as well. As a temporary fix you can flex the wire back and forth to bust up the internal corrosion, then replace it.
