Sounds like a great trip. I get out there every couple of years (minus Canada). If you are in the area, ID75 north out of Ketchum (Sun Valley) is a great ride. Goes right by the Sawtooths into Stanley and on up to Missoula (US93) through the Bitterroots. Great hot springs at Sula, MT (just over the ID/MT stateline). Hopefully, you'll get to go over Beartooth and Chief Joseph Highway as well. Let me know if you need any info...you have probably been out there as well, though. Have a great trip.
