I heard someone say on the radio that we will see a lot of men tossing around a sack of tanned leather today, and also there will be a football game.

It was C. Lo

Honestly, that was - technically speaking - one of the best halftime shows I've ever seen.  Compared to 2 years ago with the Who's stage missing entire sectors of video (props to the TV director for switching cameras artfully) and last years abortion of in-ear monitors not working, mics not turned on, and a whole host of lighting and video problems...  seriously for someone who does production for a living it was marvelous to watch.  The video mapping on the downstage side of the field was breathtaking, especially during the intro to Like A Prayer.  Some seriously amazing content, and all around topnotch production in the sound, staging and lighting.

Honestly, as far as lip-synching is concerned, the only one who sounded completely prerecorded was Nicki Minaj, who I detest anyway.  Madonna was at least half live, and C. Lo was definitely live.

The Super Bowl half-time show is always a good indicator of who's career is either over or almost over.

But, yeah - NBC shouldn't be embarrassed about the quality of the spectacle - just who is in it.

Agree- amazing production. Must have had the techs going crazy for half the year setting this up.

Performance? Singers, so-so. Dancers busted their asses.

Not a fan of the spectacle. I'd much rather watch a great band perform live and kick ass.

Surely there was enough in the commercials before and after?   Lol

I thought it was funny watching (I think) Redfoo pretend to scratch for a couple seconds on a CD player before they went to join Madonna at centerstage.  Er, yeah.

Not turning their mics up right away was kind of a blunder.  Could barely hear 'em at first.

To be fair, the NFL probably fired their primary sound guy and were on the backup.  Anyone else catch the massive feedback during the coin toss?
