I was going to post up Kevin Ash's glowing review of the redesigned 2012 Er6-N model, but then I went to look this bike up on the Kawi website, and it's no longer there.

I thought highly of that little scoot.  Did Kawasaki drop this naked twin from their US line-up?   Headscratch EEK! OMGOMGOMG Angry3

Btw here is the review - http://ashonbikes.com/content/kawasaki-er-6n-2012

All these websites have a history of models disappearing for a while them popping back up one day.

Further indication that it's not coming back to the US for 2012:

But Canada is getting it...

I can't say I'm surprised.  I've never seen one on the road.  I've seen a few in dealerships deeply discounted.

Recent issue of Motorcyclist noted in a review that the updated version would not be coming to the States.  Always thought it was a nice little bike.

I think this is a lot of the issue.  We complain we want something, then it comes over in some form or fashion and then nobody buys it.

It's a naked Ninja 650. But it's not really that naked. It's still got all kinds of plastic bits. Might as well buy a Ninja and strip it. If you like the look, well, might as well have the Z1000. If you want a naked 650 standard, well, there's the Versys. For Americans, who don't give a lot of consideration to 650's, this bike just didn't distinguish itself enough. If they had really minimized the plastic and put some headlights on there like a Speed Triple or the old Suzuki naked SV650, then you would have something.

I saw 1 in the wild in person. Pretty sad when you consider I have seen four VFR1200s.

I have also one seen one, it was at a supermarket and had a trunk attached to it. Looked really nice IMO. It was the blue color.

I've seen a handful and really like them.  It's an attractive, practical motorcycle.  I guess that's why it didn't sell? Sad

I was so excited when I saw they were going to be offered in White this year, such a let down.
