The economy has taken it's toll and we were unable to put this on last year, but this year we've established a new Partnership with Salt Lake Motorsports to continue this great program.

So, in case you are not familiar, we've been putting on a Sport-Touring based track school since 2006.  The intention has always been rather than spend time teaching riders how to navigate a specific track, instead teach riders how to read any road, how to set entry speed, how to find safer lines through corners you've never seen before and how to more safely navigate a favorite canyon road. By teaching in a controlled environment at faster speeds than an MSF Experienced Rider Course, the training will offer a more intense, real-world experience.

Here's more information about the program;
http://www.saltlakemotorsports.com/special/srst.php

Also here are links to some past threads where you can read comments from other STN'ers;

Please, please, please work with some east coast tracks and schools to do this! How about Barber, or Road Atlanta, hell Jennings would work!

Great program and I wish you the best.  Thumbsup

Yeah come on Dave - expand a lot.
Would love to attend but I am on the wrong side  of the country.
Really wish that some east coast or mid-country tracks offered something similar to this course, rather than just another track day.
Good luck with runniing the course.

I know I would be interested if a sport-touring track day made its way to the mid-Atlantic.

You're on a sport-touring website with a balckbird and complain about the mileage?   Headscratch

I guess that sounds about right.

The issue would be getting enough time off to make the trip. We'll see...

There's epic riding around the state of Utah.  You could make it part of your 10-day road trip this summer.  Smile

You could also find a way to do Beartooth pass on the way here or on the way home...

Right, about 2200 miles from N NJ.  More importantly 10 days before the school district I teach in lets out for the summer.  Sigh. Sad

HPR would be a great facility for the program, but we are pretty small to be able to move around the country. Smile

I'll second Reg Pridmore's CLASS.

I did it last year at VIR (Along with half of Mortin's BMW clientel) and had a blast.  Definately gave me the track bug.
