Anybody got one? Seen one? What do are your thoughts on this one?
http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-helmets/nexx-xr1r-diablo/

I had a Nexx XR1R Carbon but it was too small and I sold it. The regular carbon is a great helmet, very light and the chin vent flows air like no other helmet I have had. I rode with it last weekend and it was cold when I started out so the face shield fogged up, I opened the chin vent and in a second the fog was gone. I have never had a helmet do that. The top vents flow great also. Pretty quite helmet, but I wear earplugs anyway so I don't really know how quite it is. To me it is quite.

I am seriously looking at the Diablo but wonder if that leather covering would become a pita to keep clean after riding in the rain or just riding.

Whut y'all think???

It looks cool.  I wonder how it would hold up to touring in the rain?

I sent an email to Nexx asking about the covering.  It will probably be a few days before I hear from them.  Come next Wednesday, I will either get the Diablo or the regular Carbon.  I got a medium, but these helmets run a tad small, so I sold it and will get the large.  I have found a place that will sell the regular Carbon for$ 499 and the diablo for $585.

Read the same review at webbikeworld. But I was put off by an experience a fella on the MV Agusta site had with a NEXX Carbon. Hit a guard rail at 50 and suffered six skull fractures and two jaw fractures. He said the helmet looked good though(?).

Well, to be fair, a helmet is only going to "help" when your head hit's anything at 50 MPH. I suspect without the helmet, it would have been a lot worse.

I got a reply from Nexx about the leather covering:

Hi Jerry! XR1.R Diablo's leather cover is waterproof; Nevertheless, on more rainy days it is normal that some water might pass through the seams. We recommend to keep the helmet in dry places, specially when exposed to water. Thank you!

I want to know where you found the Carbon for 499??? Every search I've done only finds them for 599. I need to find a light helmet 'cuz my neck has some disc issues...

He can't advertise the price, but call Michael up and he will sell you the Carbon for $499 or the Diablo for $585 and $7 delivery and if you live outside of TN there isn't any sales tax.

He also has great prices on Olympia and Firstgear clothing.  Best prices I have found.

Uh... So it's water proof.. But don't wear it in the rain because it will leak? No thank you..
