As I understand it , it is not that easy to get a ferry, tickets and accomodation.

Some friends over there said just about everything has been booked for months. Sad


The ferries tend to be booked out almost a year in advance (at least from England to the IOM, maybe from Ireland to the IOM things are not as tight???).

However, other events are held regularly on the IOM such as vintage car races, etc. Some people apparently also go over there when nothing is going on just to take advantage of the sparse traffic and no speed limits (outside of towns)
