This is a video of a fellow out in Cali who converts CB750's to cafe racers. Gorgeous bikes.

I spoke to this guy today, Steve 'Carpy' Carpenter, a relocated to SoCal Brit.  He'll be at the San Mateo show on the 16th probably at the Cycle World booth.  Seemed like a really good guy.Thumbsup

There is a small place in Seattle (Georgetown) that specializes in customizing and restoring old Japanese bikes like this. Twinline Motorcycles is a very cool place for those of you who like this kind of thing.

Oooooo.  The dual-front disc mod was one I kept wanting to do.  Had the caliper, the disc, the dual banjo bolt... everything except a milled-down speedo gear to allow for the extra disc.  Finally ended up selling the CB to a collector for more than it was worth and bought the Bandit.  I was sick of riding without a warranty.

I still have a little lusty spot for a CB750K, pref 1974 'cause the colors were loverly.  Also would maim for a 66-68 CB450.

That's my old beauty! Here's a rear view...sorry about the poor quality (faded Polaroid).

I bought this one off my brother a long time ago and re-built it from the ground up. I loved the cafe style and still tend to judge new bikes by that criteria. Can't shake it, it would seem.

Carpy now has two more to create Cafe Racers from.  On his way south Monday morning (he was up here on his 5th wedding anniversary with wife Noel) he stopped by and bought both of my 1970 KOs.  I'll watch his site for updates.  Its going to be kinda wierd for one of them because I bought it new, 37 years ago.  Looked just like this...before the fire.
