Nice parking lot panorama!

Thanks!  I wasn't as brave (foolhardly?) as some others who climbed the hill to get the aerial view.  I hope they post soon (I'm assuming they made it back down safely).

Ken - glad to see you made it home in time to download, great pics as always.  That's a really neat trick, making it look like I can ride no-hands.  Traffic on I-80 s@%#.  Next time, we take to 2-laners all the way, that way our tires won't square-off.  (Like I'm worried!;-)  I pulled in with 500.1 miles on the GPS for the day, all of them with both bands on the bars, or alternatively, on a burger.  Great day, glad I made it.

I'm so depressed that I couldn't make it. My wife will tell ya I was in a foul mood since my bike died Friday night.  I wasn't pleasant to be around this weekend.

sorry you were having all the bike troubles... we really enjoyed your route if that helps any!  you were along with us in spirit  Thumbsup

i couldn't find swriverstone before we left, so rincewind figured out a general route back toward lancaster and we went thataway.  74 is a fun road with lots of switchbacks.  i remember thinking in the middle of a 10mph, uphill, right hander "lean way forward, and ease onto the gas... no wheelie, no wheelie!"  Crazy

by the time we split in harrisburg and waved goodbye, i was pretty beat and went home as fast as i could on 83 without feeling in danger of getting a performance award... 83 moves pretty fast btw, so i just went with the flow  Bigsmile  i think i ended up with around 450+ miles when i got back home.  i was in bed by 9  Lol

rincewind, if you're looking for company on any upcoming rides, let me know... i need to venture up to PA more often anyway!

I'm glad you guys found Rt. 74 - that's a nice road!  Thumbsup Rt. 74 and Rt. 641 are probably 2 of my favorite roads in this area to ride.

Glad you made it out Dave. You can watch for rides here in Region 6 (usually trips to WV and OH) or lurk on the SteelCityRiders.com and/or BikerPlanet.net sites for other ride options. Or sign up for the Pittsburgh RAT Pack (yeah, those Triumph guys) mailing list on Yahoo Groups (group="pghratpack"). STN is having their Eastern regional meet in mid-May in Sparta, NC if you're looking for a multi-day road trip.

Fantastic weekend, and what a way to break the (literal) ice of April! I didn't get too many pics, but here's what I got...

On the way up, lunch at the New Frontier Restaurant near Osterburg, PA.

The lunch specials. Fried chicken and waffles? (WTF???) I had to try 'em...

Mmmm!

Early Sunday morning: Doug, Holly, Sam, and Ken ready to move out.

The gang at Winslow Hill Elk Viewing Area.

The bikes posing.

Faux dual-sport (left), authentic dual-sport (right). (Just kidding Ken! I love the Multistrada!)

Doug explains why his head, er...I mean his Givi bags are so shiny...  Lol

Hot Ducatisti.

Nobody warned Jason that Olympia Dayglo Yellow rubs off on everything!

The scene inside Denny's.

Rock star Sam tries to avoid detection by the paparazzi.

Adoration of the Burger, Part I

Adoration of the Burger, Part II

Aerial view of the parking lot--I counted over 100 bikes in that photo!

Wow, my 2nd M&E and had a blast.  Great to catch up with Vivid1, Rick, and Sandy. As well as meet lots of new people - the list I can't recall as of now.  Gary, many thanks for the initiative  Thumbsup

Rode back with Chips and fzmax - logged 704 miles for the weekend.  Thanks for the recommendations for the Sunday morning ride.  555 and Wycoff (?) Rd were fantastic. 144 will have to wait for another trip-looks too good to pass up.
