Yes, he called me when he got home.

Here's where his riding "buddies" sucked....

Four of us headed off to Morgantown together.  We discussed heading south down 219 to 286 which would put us in the Indiana, PA area.  About 5 miles before the 219/286 intersection, we saw a friend of ours (Jesse) heading towards Clearfield.  Not knowing if he saw us, we pulled over to wait for him to turn around.  There was no need to try and catch him, he was hauling!

Sorry to read about your woes John...don't let those guys forget it  Wink I'm right with you on the glasses too...after years of not needing them, I can't leave home without them any more.

Actually, I remember meeting the group but I didn't realize it was you guys so I kept on going. A few miles earlier just after 286 meets 219 I saw a lone rider coming towards me on what I thought was a fizzer.  I thought it was you Doug until I saw the hard bags were blue.   When we met, I knew it was a group coming from Clearfield but none of the bikes registered so I didn't even slow down. What a shame!  I could have lent John my glasses!

A few miles later, just before Heburnia, I met a guy with a hi-viz Olympia jacket. Immediately I thought Garry!  We flashed lights but then I realized it "couldn't" be Garry since I knew he was planning some photographing and he would be unlikely to be so close to home at around 2:00 in the afternoon.

I rode on up to Denny's via the Lumber City detour (thanks, Natrona!) to find the place well and truly bereft of Meeters and Eaters. I had a nice Pennsylvania burger and a few cups of coffee and chatted to the waitress about how good Folgers tastes.... but I missed the buzz of the company. Next year...!

Glad to hear you all had a good time....let's get together before too long!

HAH! If that isn't a classic opening scene from a bad, Wings Hauser Sci-fi "B" movie, I don't know what is:

Is anyone going to make a "merit badge," for lack of a better word, for this year's meet and eat?  I believe Scott made last year's.

In the interest of trying something different than last years, I submit the following Photochopped "Belly Buster" (from the pic of Scott holding the monster burger) for use in something. I'm OK with last years design, but using the new burger.

This is only an "idea" I started playing with in photoshop:

I think it's still a bit too big and I don't like the way the "ST.n" is cut off.

Here's a variation on Paul's theme (needs to be resized smaller), but I'd like to figure out how to put the PA "Keystone" in the background like a watermark or something...

Garry, do a light grey, solid keystone behind the burger, but not big enough to fully enclosing the wording. I'll try to mock up what I'm envisioning.

That's great Chris. I'm digging it! Any chance you could center the "Region 6" (move left and up) to fit inside the bottom of the keystone? Resize to 128x128 (or close) and my idea is done.  What's everyone else think?

I like it. Thumbsup But you should crop and resize it to 90 X eighty-something to match the size of the previous one.

Edit: Perhaps the mods could give us a common place to link this and all the other banners.
