I know that 2003 ZX6RR is shet compared to 2003 ZX6R. But Trevor at BK says that this years 6RR is better than the 6R and that if he had a choice for "street use", he would pick the 6RR over the 6R. he says the 6RR has the slipper clutch and better suspension than the stiffer 6R.

I had a chance to ride a 2004 GXSR 600 & GXSR 750, and Ninja ZX6R today. I decided to get a 6R but when i went to BK I decided on a 6RR over the 6R. do you guys out there have any opinions ?? I never had a chance to ride a 6RR but I am just assuming its a better bike ?!?

any opinions would be welcomed.

thanks

Why would you ask for opinions about Kawasakis in the Suzuki forum???

That said, I wouldn't buy a 2003 or 2004 ZX-6R or 6RR. Go for the 2005/2006 6R. Much better street bike. Better suspension (the 03/04 is very harsh). Better ergos. Better everything. I own a 2005 6R and can put long days (10 hours +) on it in the twisties. It's my SPORT-touring bike / track whore.

A riding buddy of mine had an 04 and traded for an 06 last year. He says the 2006 is better in every respect.

Do whatever Trevor says.

There is only one Kawasaki 600 Supersport for 2007 - no 6R vs. 6RR - so you don't have to worry about this debate if buying new. If you are considering the K3 thru K6 models, the 6R makes a better street bike because of the wider powerband of the 636cc engine vs. the 600cc screamer engine in the 6RR which was really only intended for racing.

None of these bikes can be described as "shet" as they are all highly entertaining and competent sport bikes.

Moderators please move this to the Kawasaki forum...or better yet the Ducati or Buell forums.

The 6RR does have an extra R - that's gotta make it twice as fast, right???

I love that 6R with the titanium paint scheme...so understated.  I didn't know it was possible to make a Japanese sport bike look classy.

Don't tell anyone, but I've got an '01 Katana 750 with a similar paint scheme and sometimes I like to pretend that it's that 6R.  Other times it's a K1200R.  You should see the things I can do on those bikes in my own little world...Cool
