Is a Yamaha YZF600R to much bike for someone who has some riding experience? I have some time on a 750, But that was 4 years ago, I'm looking to buy a YZF600R, I do need to learn some more. Am I biting off more then I can chew. The 750 was also a sport bike.

I don't recomend the YZF for true beginner riders. The preformance and full fairings can be trouble.
But if you know how to ride already I don't see why it you would have a problem with it. The YZF600R is a great, do it all, real world bike.

You'll be fine. I bought a new one and the only experience I had on bikes was the MSF course (read: one full day of riding in a parking lot on a 20 year old 135CC bike). I was fine. I dropped it once early on in a parking lot but somehow managed to do no damage. Still can't figure that one out. Anyway, get one, they're awesome, you'll love it. Everybody who sits on my bike says its the most comfortable bike. Plus it's got the best brakes which is a plus for beginners.

I don't think you'll be fine. To a beginner, it will feel just like any other sport bike - aggressive position, tons of speed, difficult to maneuver at slow speeds, etc. There are much better choices out there. Buy it for a 2nd bike, and it will treat you well.

I got a yzf600r as my first road bike and I love it. I think that it is an excellent choice for a first bike.
