You know I can spend all day telling you which way to turn, but the fact of the matter is, as for motorcycling riding there are so many hidden treasures (roads) in Europe, let alone Germany, and most recently in the Saar-Land area which is where I stay, that it wouldn't make any sense. The best advice I can give you is to get a map and pick a road, you'll be amazed at what you find on those back roads.  After work today I decided to try and ride to Bad Kreuznach and work my way over to the Mosel River for a little sight seeing tour.

As I was leaving Rodenbach I was captivated by the field of yellow something’s.  I don’t know if there plants, weeds, or flowers, but there very beautiful.

I decided to take a few secondary roads(C-Road) to get closer to the fields, and that’s where my planned sight seeing tour got better. As I reached the top of this C-Road(some would call them cow trails) and  it opened up into a maze of new trails that I didn’t know existed. Suddenly I was met with the choice of going right, left, or straight on. I decided to take the right and continue on this new found maze.

Next time I pass a C-Road, I’ll be sure to think twice about not passing it up and spending a few minutes for a little detour, never know what I may find. After an hour of riding, I finally saw a sign leading towards Theisbergstegen which took me to Altenglan WHEW!! Finally a place I knew

Once in Altenglan, I took the B-420 and continued on to my destination of Bad Kreuznach. Within 20 minutes of being on the right road, I had passed another C-Road, not wanting to pass up a treasure; I turned around and took the road leading to Hundsbach, WOW!!!  I like this C-Road madness, but it creates another problem….At this rate I’ll never make my planned destinations. Needless to say, from here on out there are no more destinations for me. Only Direction, North, East West, and/or South, I’m sure I’ll find something to take a picture of.

Very pretty. That's a nice part of Germany. We took a train up the Moselle from Manneheim to Trier and the views were terrific. Thanks for the report, as well as for the Alsace ride report.

The yellow plant/fields is rape. Rape seed oil is a huge crop these days. They're using it in bio-fuels, among other things. The worry is that people are failing to plant anything that we can actually eat.

Thanks for taking the time to view it.

And as for not planting anything to eat, maybe Bio-Fuel will be the next energy drink Lol  Lol

I agree w/ RBE: that's one sweet shot of the 12R "auf'm Land."

And just think of how a Zumo'll change your attitude toward them "C-Strässer."  Keine Sorgen mehr.
