Could be the weather, jetting, plugs or a host of other things. I would'nt buy a used bike that did'nt start up and stay running on its own. Don't let the thrill of a new bike cause you make a purchase you regret.Smile

By revs he means raising the engine rpm to keep the bike from dying. Should'nt need to do that if the choke and carbs are adjust properly.

Its not good for any bike to sit and idle for 5 minutes or more but if the idle is set between 900 and 1100 rpms it should idle until it runs out of gas no matter what the weather is.  Like iceman said, the fuel could be fouled or it could be most anything.  Warmed up, what does it idle at?

I just noticed the F in 600F.Embarassment 2001 F4i models were fuel injected.

FI problems can be a nightmare to sort out if you don't have the right equipment.Smile
