Just dropping a line to say hi.  I'm the owner of an '05 Yellow SVST in southern Wisconsin.  I'm a traveling nuclear medicine technologists for Illinois and Wisconsin, so I ride a lot when I'm not working.  I've been riding for 2 years now, about to break 21K on my bike, bought it brand new and she's broke in well, customized for S.T.  Here's a pic of my ride in my favorite stomping grounds, Wildcat Mountain State Park in Central Wisconsin.

Great engine, great bike. Even though its a Suzuki its still one of the most popular bikes of members in the Honda Sport Touring Association (HSTA).  Hard to beat the SV for the money.

Thanks for the pic.

That's the perfect bike and the perfect set-up for STing areas like that in the photo.  I love the yellow too.  What kind of side bags/cases do you have?

Right now, I have Nelson-Riggs Deluxe saddle bag system and yes I also have the matching tote bag for a whopping 4 bag system.  I am working on getting Givi E21's to secure and totally waterproof my travel as I am on the road almost every day.  Once I get the new setup, hopefully in the next couple of weeks, I will be selling this setup.  The Nelson-Riggs are great bags, has a lot of space.  The topcase is a Givi V46, irreplaceable in my opinion, it's almost always on my bike.

Thanks, I will.

Let me know when you're coming through.  2 "must ride" roads in SW Wisconsin are HWY 33 between Hillboro (west of Madison) to La Crosse, Wildcat Mountain State Park is my favorite test grounds, great for breaking in tires  Bigsmile.  The second is HWY 108, just north of Bangor (exit 15 on I-90, east of La Crosse), this is called the Mindoro Cut run, the road is a little rougher but an awesome ride.

The best area for roads is between I-90 and I-94, La Crosse north to Red Wing.  We locals call these the ABC roads as all the county roads are lettered.  Depending on how much you like curves and country or great scenery, the recommendations change.  But my favorite spot, aside from Wildcat Mountain State Park, is the lookout over Alma, south of Nelson, WI on HWY 35, take County E east out of Alma and look for the park sign to go left.  You'll walk out onto the lookup above the dam and see this:

There are also great roads south of I-90 all the way to HWY 60 and the Iowa and Illinois state lines but not as well known as their northern brethern.

I am quite active on the SVRider.com site.   I will try to post organized rides here as well for interested riders to join us.  First real organized ride is May 19th.  I'll get it posted soon.
