Well, my work schedule has changed to days weekends starting tomorrow.  Which means Sat.-Mon. 0700-1900.  Leaves my Friday evenings open for a ride.  Anyone in the Wichita area interested in the occasional dinner ride?  Nothing terribly far, Hutch or Ponca would be as far as I'd wanna go most likely.  So, what say you?

What qualifies as date nite?  Could this be a couples thing, associated with motorcycles, and riding, and dinner?  That's what I had planned for the most part anyway.

Lars, how far are you from here?  Do you have any suggestions for eateries that might be a little closer for you?

Jimmy?  Charles?  Eric?  Robert?  Jred?  Patrick?  Suggestions?

Hey Mike!

I'd probably be up for it on occasion.  I just got back from a weekend Eureka Springs trip about an hour ago, so it might take me a few weeks to get excited about riding around here again. Sleepy Lol Bigsmile

Hey Mike - I'm glad to see there are still some Wichita people still on this site. I'm definitly up for some riding now that it has finally stopped raining every day. I went and got married a few months ago and my riding time has been reduced dramatically. On a positive note, my wife took the MSF course and we got her a Ninja 250 to ride but she hasn't ridden enough to burn up the tank of fuel it came with.

Next time you want to go for a ride, let me know.

Will do!  Most of my riding, as limited as it is, is during the week now.  I work weekend days at Lear, 7am-7pm.  I haven't heard from anyone else in a long time.  Don't know if Jimmy, Robert, and Charles are even around anymore.  Are living in Hutch or Wichita?

I'm still living in Wichita near 21st and Maize. I've cut back to 5 days a week at work so maybe we can manage to get together for a ride or two this summer.

Wife and I just bought a house down by Peck, so we're officially out of the city limits now.

Check out the CSTN thread to meet in ES this fall.  I'm going to try to make it.  It means taking a couple days vacation, but so what.  I've got to get away sometime!   Thumbsup

I'm sorry I haven't checked this thread for a while.    I'm 90 miles east of Wichita on 54. Not too far but I'll need a little notice to make it over there.

Lars, no worries.  I've been so busy with my "part" time job, that it's rapidly becoming a full time job!!   Crazy  The freaking weather better start cooperating so I can get a decent day off to just ride before too long, or I'm going to wig out!   Nuts

Anyone up for dinner this Friday? Looks like the weather is supposed to cooperate for a change.   Rolleyes  Anchor Room (Mexican) in Hutch with maybe desert at Bogies?  Any other ideas?  Leave around say 6 or 6:30.  Shout out.  I'll check back tomorrow, but Friday will be late in the afternoon before I can get to the 'puter.

Is this open to meeting halfway?  I'm near Chanute, 2 hours east of Wichita.

Don't see why not.  Does The Beuomont Hotel serve dinners?  Is that about 1/2 way for you?  Do you have any other suggestions?

Bete,

I didn't think to post it.  Wife and I rode up there last Friday.  It was PACKED!!  Had some sort of a class reunion going on.  Food was yummy as usual tho!  Maybe next Friday if someone has a plan.  Later!

I don't know, it has been years since I ate at the hotel.  We used to fly in there for Sunday dinner once in awhile.  But yeah, that would be half way for me.  I don't know if there is anything in Severy or Eureka, but those would be OK as well.

Rod,

I'll do some checking on Beumont if you want to check on Eureka or Severy.  Post up!
