"The hills are alive with the sound of music
With songs they have sung for a thousand years
The hills fill my heart with the sound of music
My heart wants to sing every song it hears..."

These are taken in the Danskin mountains on the way to Prairie, ID

Do you hear the music?  Smile

Looking back, we just came through that canyon

Heading up to Prairie

Going back home

Pics do not show the wonder...

This wasn't on the ride but I forgot to take some pics when I was at Prairie. So here's what it looks like in the winter - better camera too!  Razz

I just hate open XLR8 topics because I know their some great pictures to follow.

You out did your self again.  Bigok

Looks like in one of those pictures you getting ready for a new back tire.

Thanks everyone. I just want to share the scenery as that's the reason I purchased a DS. I'm not trying to brag, but if you move to Idaho, don't come without knobbies! Hey I'm going to sig that.

New rear tire? Ohhhhhh so that's what was going on during my ride.  Lol

It comes with Metzler Karoos which work well for me but I may try something a little softer and more aggressive.

Stay tuned for a few pics of the big IMS 5 gallon tank on the 610.

This very well maybe the thread which makes me get rid of the 600RR and get a dual sport. Nice pics.

Last year at this time I purchased a beautiful new GSX-R 1000 to compliment my FJR. Man what a fun bike - and not just for squids.

Slowly it started happening... When on road rides, I'd pass gravel roads that twisted up into the mountains and I'd wonder where they went. So in February I sold the wonderful GSX-R so I could purchase a dual sport. I could have kept all 3 but I'm not a person of excess.

I still very much enjoy my FJR and I love a good road adventure but after getting the DS I don't think I've had as much fun on a motorcycle.  Bigok

Had to check out the report again, and thought I would bump it to the top.  I really really need to get the XR out.

Dang that was back in May. I have to get out there again.  Thumbsup

jude, thanks for the positive vibes. I'm not sure where you may have seen the shack in the snow pic; Perhaps on DP REview.com The shack was taken with my Canon Xti DSLR but the others are just with a point and shoot.

Riding out there amongst the tweety birds I was in quite a ghey mood.  Bigsmile
