Are there any detail Route 66 maps on the web? I and my friends are planning a ride on Route 66 from California to Oklahoma some time next year and we'll ride the complete Route 66 if possible.

Are they all paved?
Are street bikes ok?
Thanks for any info.

ZX-Greg and I rode all of 66 from the LA area to well into Arizona last year.  While some parts aren't in perfect condition, all that we saw was paved.  Remote, but paved.

Ghostown Press out of Oklahoma puts out individual state maps thatgive you detailed information for running the old highway--it's not always easy to find, and it's sometimes hidden in the normal city streets.

Mostly, these days, the old highway is pretty well marked.

Thank you all,
I also found a MS Streets file here:
http://www.historic66.com/gps/microsoft/

that highlights the whole route 66 from West to East.

I'm looking forward to it.

Make sure your suspension and tires are up to the journey.  Tighten all nuts and bolts too!
