If I had my cell phone camera on me I would have shot pictures...

One was a ZX-14.  I had it side by side with my GPZ and compared... Great bike.  The owner hauled it here to work at my plant's maintenance outage and ride to work every day to try and save gas, but in the same breath he said that his fuel economy sucked at just a bit over 30 mpg...  The only thing about his bike I didn't like was that the black powder coating was coming off the exhaust header... my bike is 11 years old and the powder coat on it still looks great..

The second bike I saw was (I think) an old Yamaha Seca? (Not sure, it was shaft drive and air cooled I-4).  It had a sidecar and both bike and hack and rider's helmet were painted olive drab with U.S. Army markings on it.  The bike's sidecar was occupied by his yellow lab, patiently waiting for his master to come back out of the store... (great dog!)

The third bike I saw today was another Yamaha, also shaft drive and air cooled I-4.... This one was a total rat bike, taped up seat, really rough shape.  A quick glance at the clock showed just over 9K miles... Owner sees me looking, and I think the puzzled look on my face and then tells me it rolled over twice and then stopped working "about ten years ago"  and that he figures he rides about 25K miles every year back and forth to work Bigok  There's something really cool about high milage rat bikes.

Oh, from your thread title, I assumed you saw a Sprint, a Speed Triple and a Rocket III! Razz

Sometimes the old beat up bikes are better than the shiny new ones- they have a story to tell, if you want to hear it.

I used to have somewhat of an elitist conception of eastern WA and figured I was the only "proper" biker in a sea of cruisers.  I have seen more interesting stuff in the past year than I can ever remember.  From the Duc Monster 620 on display in the lobby of a chinese restaurant in Grandview to the Suzuki Rotary at a rest stop down the road.  (Yes, it still runs!)
