2005 Triumph sprint ST - blue with 2400 miles Very Happy

I got a bike today and rode it from dealer home - 15 miles in heavy traffic - what a blast!!!

Yes, I bought a used bike from a dealer - The guy with the bike I had lined up fed me another bunch of baloney about bike sitting in the dealership for at least another week for mounting bolt recall - it was almost 3 weeks so far.

I looked up local bikes for sale site and found that local dealer had the same bike for sale so I went there just to solicit test ride but accidentally had a wad of cash and old plates in my car. I got nailed with the tax, but otherwise I got a nice discount - almost a grand from the asking price, very close to what it sells for from private party.

The bike was tipped over by a salesman on the floor - alternator cover and left fairing are scratched, but will be replaced by dealership for free - so I am good. Otherwise bike has 2 small scratches on the tank, which is plastic, BTW, and other than that spotless.

oh - the reason for a bike change - I lowsided in WI 2 weeks ago at about 40 mph - loose gravel all over the road right after apex on off-camber turn..so ST1300 sustained over $4000 damage and was sold to a person with more time on hand to fix it.
Gear rules - just a scratch and a bruise on my elbow!!

Hey same color as my 06!  Good choice of bike, they have a few quirks but what bike doesn't.  Get the heat kit installed if it is not there already

I considered an ST or another VFR before I bought my Sprint and I am very happy with the choice.  It is faster and lighter than either of the Hondas and the MPG is about the same as the VFR.  Enjoy yourself and watch out for gravel EEK!!

Don't tell that to the VFR Kool-Aid drinkers!

Samal-
Nice choice of bike!  You got the second best color! Razz  Sorry you wrecked your old bike, but glad you're OK.  I hope you like yours as much as I like mine.

How come I think that there is someone out there that may disagree with the bold part this statement?  Lol

Nice bike.  I love the sound, love the triple and love the idea of the bike.  The color is just fine (actually I find that blue quite flashy).  I suspect you're going to have a LOT more fun on this than on the ST, but WATCH OUT for that gravel!!!

Congrats on the new bike Samal..!!   Bigok

I don' think you will find the Sprint eats the miles in quite the same way as the ST1300 did, but you will definitely enjoy the livelier and sportier ride that the Sprint will give you.

A great bike with a truly great motor, I wish many happy and safe miles on her....

thanks to all.

I test rode 07 last month and was dismayed by how bad brakes were.  I testrode this one and now I am convinced that that 07 had air in lines after a bad dealer setup -  brakes are good - life is good  Bigok
