Does it help, especially on longer rides? Would you recommend placing a set on both both grips or just the throttle side?

It's not the destination, but the journey, that counts. A sport-tourer's ride between two points is seldom a straight line. He will often seek the most convoluted route possible.

i think mine was called a "throttle rocker" (it's been a couple of years now).

i liked it, but i don't see any utility for it on the left. i think i'd prefer to just have a friction style cruise control, though i've never actually used one.

trip.

I don't like mine. My throttle spring is too strong, I think.

Love mine, just don't forget to take it off if you're gonna hit some twisties. Sometimes I've hit it during turns and test my adrenal glands EEK!.

I solved the width problem by using the Kuryakyn (sp?) universal throttle boss. Its big enough to control the throttle when needed but small enough to be out of the way.

I like mine.  At times, I wish I had some sort of actual throttle lock but my Throttle Rocker has worked well enough for the past few years that I haven't bothered with getting anything more extravagant.

Very handy for slabbing; in the twisties I just spin mine around so's the paddle is pointing down & outta the way, or take it off entirely.

I did not like the crampbuster and had to order a throttle rocker from Canada to get one that did not attach with velcro. I leave mine on all the time and only push it forward out of the way very occasionally-- even in the twisties. IMO, in the twisties is the best place to use one of these; it helps induce small throttle changes better than a grip alone.

I have the thin version and can squeeze my hand far enough left of it where it's not a problem when not using it.

I see absolutely no need for one on the left grip.

+1.  Mine's the old-style Throttle Rocker, but it's basically the same animal.

Coincidently, I was at a rally yesterday and bought one from a vendor there for $10.  I gave it about a 20-mile test run out in the boonies; stopped and yanked it off (hey now!).  It just didn't feel right and it couldn't rotate at all on my gel grips.

I have both the thin and the wide. The thin one I cut down in length and the wide one I narrowed. I like the narrow one the best.

I have a thin Crampbuster on two of my bikes.  Both have gel grips.  I love these things and won't take off on a trip without them.  I love that you can quickly and easily adjust the position "on the fly" by just rotating it around.  I use it in the twisties without any problems whatsoever.  I HIGHLY recommend these.

I have not tried/used the wider version.

Also, I see no need for one on the left grip.

I have a velcro ThrottleRocker and use it daily.  I installed a ThrottleMeister cruise control for long trips.  Both work extremely well for what they are designed for, and in tandem.

I also see no use for the left hand side personally.

My Brother-in-Law used his (for the first time) to WCRM IV and it has been a life saver(or wrist) We are in Reno now and have another 600 miles to go.  I used a longer version and it seemed to work well.  I talked to HammerHead in Fortuna and he has a Vista Cruise and loves it.  I checked one out here in Reno and it is an open package, so I don't feel like trying to make it work if all the parts are not there.  $34.00 at the shop and $20.00 on-line.  The CrapBusters are only $10.00 or so @ Joe's Outdoors(GI Joe's).  If you don't like it toss it or return it or give it away.

+2 Mine is also the old style Thottle Rocker.  I have used it for 4 or 5 years.  I love it on the slab.  Just rotate it out of the way when on the twisties.  I was well worth the money I paid for it.

I have the Throttle Rocker version.  Great when you're in the mode of putting miles behind you.  Not so great for twisties where you need throttle control.  That being said, I always have one with me when I ride, either on the trip or in the bag.

I have both the thin and the wide. I had the thin first and thought I liked it better than the wide but after having the wide on for awhile I found I was less likely to goose it with the shorter wide one (more leverage?). I may just cut the thin one down a bit. I have also found that the wide one takes less force to rotate backwards and I can do it with my pinkie but the long one I can't without letting go of the gas and coasting while adjusting.
