Too right! I had one on for WCRM IV and got coaught a couple of time gassing inadvertantly.

That's the reason why I've been hesitant to buy a throttle rocker type gizmo. I bought throttlemeister bar ends before my long trip home and they worked pretty well. My favorite bit is that I can't possibly engage them accidentally, even the gear shaped throttle locks look like you can spin them with your glove inadvertently.

Hello Out there,  Adding my 2cents, I rode my zx11 to Myrtle beach from Ohio last week with a wide crampbuster worked great, someone else must have needed it worse than me and stole it right off the bars! Had to go buy another one for the ride home,$10 bucks at a vendor tent. Wouldn't do a long trip with out it. Take care.

Does it help, especially on longer rides? Would you recommend placing a set on both both grips or just the throttle side?

Greetings,

I don't have the "Cramp Buster" but I am currently using left and right "Throttle Rocker II's"(hand specific).  I like having one on the clutch side.   No major problems yet.

regards,

Gerry

Does anyone know where (I heard in Canada, but what dealers online would have) the ORIGINAL Throttlerocker.  I lost mine and then ordered another and got the damn velcro.   It's horrible.   I heard Crampbuster or someone actually had the patent so Throttlerocker had to stop making the one peice deal - very unfortunate, becauase it's the perfect size/shape.  I finally gave in and bought a wide crampbuster and am more happy with it than I thought I would be, but it is slightly on the big side - so if anyone could turn me onto where to get an original throttlerocker I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Old-style Throttle Rocker here.  Won't ride a long distance without it.  It can be trouble in twisties so either pull it off or twist it around (the old-style, like the crampbusters, are easily rotated in one direction).

I have the narrow one, mostly keep it in the tank bag except when superslabbing.  It's an OK product, but on the slab its even better when you combine it with the Vistacruize.  I've tried a Throttlemeister, and didn't like it, too hard to engage and disengage compared to flicking my thumb on the Vista, plus WAY more expensive.  Anyway, the two together make a pretty good combination for distances, but I agree that you should take it off for any twisty roads.  Easily done.

I installed an Audiovox cruise control unit in my '94 RF900 and love it; just hit the "on" button and set the speed, and I don't have to worry about my speed(slowing down or speeding up). Tap the front or rear brake to slow or to disengage the unit and just hit the "resume" button to return my previous speed. Best of all, I can shake off that buzzy feeling my right hand gets after a long ride.....

Oh and you can use your right hand to wave at another fellow rider when you're passing him on the interstate.... Wink

I have an old-style Throttle Rocker and I love it.  It is easily adjustable and helps with hand cramps.  Best $10.00 I've spent on the TDM.

There may be other Canadian sites that sell it too, but here's one. http://www.prodinov.com/indexEN.htm. They have the velcro and original non-velcro version, and it still says Throttle Rocker on it, not Crampbuster, so I'm guessing it's the real thing. Maybe the patent is only applicable in the U.S.
