That converts to $16,331 US Dollars for non-ABS and $17,521 with ABS.  One thing that made the Concours special was it's bang for the buck quotient.  Looks like it lost that right out of the gate with the new model.  I was hoping it would slot between the ST1300 and FJR1300, but this price is closer to K1200GT territory.  Ugh! EEK!

+1
If it tops-out at $17.5K EEK! that’s gonna put me in a mood to consider the 08 KLR650 complimented with a 1250 Bandit.

One thing I didn't factor into my calculation is....there may not be a direct dollar for dollar price comparison here.  Even without the exchange rate the bike may just be priced higher in Canada than in the US.?

And that's typically true for bikes offered both in Canada & the US.

YUP,  Canada is paying the price for having a more robust economy at the moment.

In the good old days of depression, bikes were cheaper here.

That seems like an OK price. The FJR is around $19,000 CAD....so its competitive (well, in the Canadian market at least).

Riders Choice in Oglesby, IL is advertising a $12,999 (US) price tag on the non-ABS version (no price on the ABS version yet though).

Let's cross our fingers on that one, because if that dealer is going to be selling a C14 for $500 less than the real msrp, I'm pretty sure my local CA dealer would laugh at me if I tried to get him to price match a dealer in Illinois.

The $12,999 price is the first one I've seen published.  How do you know that this is $500 below retail?

I don't  Shrug My personal feelings were the C14 would come in around $13.5k, that's all. And I know for sure the dealers in CA won't be handing out any discounts on the first set of deliveries  Sad  That being said, if $12999 turns out to be the real MSRP, then Kawasaki would have bettered my expectations on their pricing, which would be nice for a change.
