Well, after finally getting to put some real miles on the Futura I believe that I have come to the realization that the bike just may not work for me. This past Saturday I did 350 miles, nothing extreme at all but a long day in the saddle this early in the year.
By the time I got home Mr. Arthritis was talking in all caps if you know what I mean. So I dosed up on vitamin I and awaited Sunday am with some apprehension. When I woke up Sunday wrist were slightly swollen and the knees ached.
Bummer, I absolutely love the bike, everything. I even averaged 40mpg for the trip which I was thrilled with, the seat is the best ever. I could go on but I won't.
In all probability this was more than likely the last new Futura in the US, who knows, maybe the world. It has warranty till November 2008, never been down, custom paint, Staintunes, gen-mar risers, two powerlet outlets, AF1 fuel QD, K&N air filter, all mods are listed in my sig. All stock parts are included.
I will sale as is, if someone wants to save some $$ I will take off the Gen-Mars, and the Staintunes if so desired.
I am not going to put a asking price, on that I have real close to 12k invested. No I am not expecting to get that out of it, but I want people to understand what they are getting.
