I'd guess they average 45-50 mpg.  My 400 gets about 57 when I'm nice to it (this is with in town riding) and about 47 when I'm not (all freeway, 80 mph indicated).  If you're interested in the Burgman, I'd check out www.burgmanusa.com and http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products/AN650K7/Default.aspx.

I've owned 2 in the past.  Nice ride but it is a pig - 520 lbs.  I got about 49MPG

The Burgs cost about the same as a regular bike, and with the same fuel economy, I believe. Not to be so negative towards them. I bought my 06 DL1000 new for less than $8000, and I average 50 mpg.

but there are advantages, like standard storage, wind protection, big, plush seat, low sound level, etc.
