Hi, wondering if there is any info out there on replacing the drive belts, The bike belongs to a buddy of mine and we want to adjust or replace the belts.. any info would be appreciated. Is there a inspection cover behind the battery? thanks RCR
No 2003 ST3, maybe it's a ST4, or maybe earlier ST2, but no ST3 in 2003 as 2004 is their first year. Each cylinder has a belt cover on the right hand side, and the horizontal is behind the battery on ST3. Unless you have a GDSM, I recommend buying a "Desmo Times" ST maintenance guide. The belts have to be properly tensioned, and there are timing marks to observe. BTW, ST3 has a chain drive, and timing belts.
