Aprilia Forum is down for maintanence. How do you check the codes on a Futura and what are the list of faults? My EFI is flashing.

Thanks,
Bill

 Headscratch

Not sure about the Futura but on the Mille/Tuono you connect an unplugged wire under the left side of the rear seat and turn on the key.Have you washed the bike recently?Once I washed the Tuono and the EFI flashed (bike ran fine) for about 30 miles or so 'til it dried out.Check to see if the air temp sensor is plugged in.How's the bike running?Any symptoms?

Here is the procedure:

1. Remove the seat
2. On the right hand side (as you face the bars) near the battery you will find two connectors. One each, male and female. On my machine the female connector has two grey wires and the male has a blue/green wire. Connecting these two together puts the onboard computer into diagnostic mode. Connect these together, noting their original position for later.
3. Turn on the ignition (don't start the engine).

From there, any active codes should be over on the right panel.  I'm not sure if EFI will be displayed in addition or not?

good luck  Bigok
