I'm hoping to find someone---ANYONE!---within the Mid-Atlantic region who has a V-Strom 1000 who'd be willing to let me take it for a short test ride. I'm willing to ride up to a couple hundred miles for the opportunity, and would gladly offer a ride on my KLR or VFR in return.

I've found a few people with 650s I can ride...and I really want to test both before buying one!

Thanks,
Scott

Not Mid Atlantic, but if you were anytime near East Texas, you would be more than welcome to try mine.  (I am only a couple of inches on the map from you)

Cernic's Suzuki in Duncansville, Pa. offered to let me take a new DL1000 for a test ride (!!!!). But I did buy my busa from them too.

Thanks for the tip Frantik1! I called Cernic's (in Duncansville) and spoke to Karen---she was very nice and though she couldn't promise a test ride...she said if I showed up and was "seriously interested" in one (and had a chunk of cash on hand), they could probably make it happen.

So I'll see if I can find one closer, but if not, I may be headed up there!

Scott,

I sent you a PM last week with a link to a shop in Bedford (hmmm, have to ride 26 to get there) with a used, low miles DL1000 for sale. Getting a test ride on a used bike is probably a whole lot easier than a new one. Just sayin...

Scott, try L and D Suzuki, Dover, Delaware.  They let me test drive the DL1000.
