After a simple garage tip over cost me about 600 bucks in crushed left side plastics I decided I needed frame sliders for my 2005 Sprint ST. I thought I was beyond this type of mistake in my riding career…I was WRONG WRONG WRONG! I’ve had frame sliders on my previous bikes and was stupid not to put them on this one. Also I didn’t like the look of the current selection of aftermarket systems. But since I learned Triumph ST’s fair poorly when tipped over I decided I need some type of frame slider despite there appearance and as usual decided to build some parts of my own. They are a mix of custom and off the shelf parts.

Nice work.   Bigok
I need to put some sliders on as well.  I wish someone would fabricate a slider that would replace that plastic silver trim piece - kind of like the wing on the ST1300.

Nice work.

Your red pieces, as well as moving the sliders down, would probably help reduce the risk of damaging the engine mounts if the bike goes down hard too. Thumbsup

They do look kinda neat and judging by the frontal shot, don't stick out too far  Smile
However, since my latest off while on tour in Scotland i've decided that sliders are not for me. IMHO they will save you money at 0 mph but not much else. See here

The frame sliders are nice, but I'm more impressed with your garage!

I don't believe I'll be going into production just yet.  Those nice out side radius took out two hours on the belt sander.  I'm really more of a metal widdler then machinist  Lol.  Though I suppose it depends what people would be willing to pay?

Thanks positive comments on the garage, it really is my favorite part of the house.  When looking for a house my only two requirements were a 2 car garage and a yard for my dog.

Nicely done!!!  I pulled the same bone-headed move with my ST -- damn top heavy bikes (my excuse anyways:lol:)

I ordered the R&G kit $$$$$$$$$

Your solutions looks good though!!
