Just saw this.  Very cool!  Wink

Given that you have a 990ADV, an EXC seems like a better fit than a 690E anyway.

I have to admit, your 690 is a sweet set up.  But, I do agree that the EXC better compliments the Adventure.  There's less overlap.

I received this email transmission from the gentleman who purchased my Super Duke along with the following image.

Spent so much time at speed Sunday my neck was sore Monday morning.

Enjoy the bike Sheldon.  I miss her dearly.  Sad

That's a reaffirming photo and message:  "Dear R Doug, I love your bike just the way it is!"  Wink

The last time I saw my old 1098, someone had put the stock exhaust & ECU back on it -- it didn't look at all right what with all the black powder coated bits still on the bike.  Plus it was missing a bunch of the CF bits I'd installed.  All the missing goodies had been sold separately.  Not so reaffirming.  Sad

That looks like a very serious Supermoto, Dogboy.  I hope you win your races.

Thanks guys. Its the end result of getting a free hit of crack...er...short test ride from a fellow ST.Ner. I'm not naming names (kurtw). This thing is better in every way than the converted YZ250F it replaces.  Bigok

DogBoy, I really, really, want to ride a true sumo like that on a twisty road some day. An hour or two in southeast Ohio would be perfect. I think my savings account would take an immediate hit. I have to think thrashing a sub-300 pound bike (probably sub 250 for that one) with sticky rubber would be better than sex.

Right now I'm on the fence about buying a 2009 Husaberg FE570 with low miles and a spare set of 17" wheels, plus Rekluse clutch and other mods. Only $7500. Designed by Swedes (ex-Husky engineers?) and built by KTM. Drool

I'm getting an oil cooler for the EXC in a few months and, if Uncle Sam gives me back what I have calculated, sticky rubber on 17" wheels will be in my near future.

Let's ride!

Ah another SMR (edit: coverted EXC?). Hopefully you have some big plans for that bad boy.  Thumbsup

Don't forget the brake upgrade (at least the larger rotor and caliper relocator bracket) or you'll be changing your name to "BoilingBrakes".  Wink
