Just in case anyone else here is a member...what's up with Stromtrooper.com? I registered as a member over a week ago...and my account still hasn't been activated so I can post! This is bizarre---never had this happen on a motorcycle forum before. (Are they doing a Dept. of Homeland Security background check on every member?)

Anyone else ever had this problem?

What name did you attempt to register? I'll send the admin a PM if you want. It's a good site. The VStrom International site has lots of highly organized/outlined info. StromTrooper seems more social.

Thanks Garry---I'll double-check, but I'm certain I used the same name I use here: SWriverstone. Yep, just checked---I can log in, but just can't post. I get this message...

SWriverstone, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I had something similar.  I forgot my password, clicked on the link to get the email to reset it, and ...nothing.  Even two emails to the owner.admin....and nothing.  What gives?

Scott, if you want a truly social Strom site full of long-time Strommers willing to argue about any and everything (and answer your questions as well), try Yahoo VStrom2. Guaranteed to get your knickers in a twist.  Bigsmile

I'll second the vote for VSRI. A great forum, with cool people and tons of easy to find VStrom information/opinions.  Thumbsup
