I'm guessing it will be sold here... but it is the 1200cc motor I'm waiting for, and to see that motor in an ST motorcycle.

Looks like a very entertaining ride. I hope it comes to the States; however, I haven't seen any indication that it will. It's not featured on the US Aprilia website, though it is on the German, French, and of course the Italian sites...
Here is a video which was shot, I believe, by Tor Sagen, the author of the review.

And here's the official page for it as well -

Gawd I wish it had a 19 litre tank , and U.S. $8500. Looks to be 'cooler' than the new Tri 675 mini S3. maybe. would be worried about Aprilia U.S.A. thou.

From the other thread, this CA dealer has the Shiver on their page with a 'request quote' link.

Very interesting, thanks for that tidbit. I checked a dealer's website here in PA, and it's the same deal - "request a quote."
I wonder what MSRP will be on this bike... around $9k I'd guess... ?

I'm hoping it comes in around $8500 but that's just wishful thinking on my part.

Latest Motorcyclist mag ( aug. 07) has a mini review - gives the Shiver 5 stars ( tops) I agree, to me, looks cooler than the Tri 675 Street triple, both probably avail in U.S. next spring, fer more or less same $$$. Gawd, Why can't they make bigger tanks . . .
Mag also has mini review of the 675 S3

I'm going to 1) wait and see how the in-house engine and the ride-by-wire stuff works out during the first year and 2) pray for a Factory version with fully adjustable suspenders.
So, this bike is at the top of my list to replace the 675 somewhere early to mid 2009.
(pending test ride and final pricing, of course)
It is a looker!

That pic is not the Shiver, fyi - look at the seat, the different frame and paint, and the lack of flaired undertail exhaust. I think that is the other 750, the Mana with scooter-shifting.

This is the 1st Aprillia since the Futura that I like the graphics and colors. The Mille and Touno don't do anything for me, yet I'm sure they are wonderful bikes.
Hopefully this bike will sell. It would be nice to see Aprillia get more of a US presence.

I agree, I think this is ' hot' much more visual than the new Tri Street triple . . .
I'd be worried about Aprilias dealer network, plus of course it has absurd small tank - I still maintain that helped kill sales of the almost excel. Honda VTR. The English M'cycle mags are saying the front /rear parts of frame are easilly changed, that it is designed for other m'cycle types. BUT why would they also build an entirely different 800 cc V twin with auto trans ???

I'm in the market, looking hard at naked bikes, and had all but settled on a Triumph Street Triple, Triumph Speed Triple or Aprilia Tuono R.
But every time I look at pics of the Shiver ...
