I sat on a Harley on Saturday. I found it kinda cool. If I had a million bucks I might buy one.

Same here. The only Harleys even remotely interesting to me are way too expensive for my pocketbook (Screamin Eagle Softtail Deuce, Custom Shop V-Rod, maybe a blinged out Road King. A lot of other bikes I'd rather have for my hard-earned dollars though. Now if I was a rich man...

Black. I really liked the red but they did not have one in stock and found the beauty in black- I picked up a stone or something and had a small nick on my rear fender. I bought some "Universal black" colorrite pens and dabbed a little in the crack and buffed. You can't even see the damage. Black is a pain to keep clean but it is very convenient.

Nice choice!!!! I've ridden a Fat Boy and Wide Glide and currently have a Yammie Roadstar. The FatBoy and Roadstar are nice to loaf around on, but don't clear corners worth a damn. The Wide Glide was ok, but was too feet forward for me. If I were to get another cruiser it would either be the Roadstar Warrior or the Super Glide as I understand they are some of the better handling cruisers w/ decent ground clearance. Doesn't the SuperGlide have the guages on top of the triple tree vs. on the gas tank? I'm surprised more cruisers don't do this. I've sat on a Super Glide and though I liked the more standard feet position, didn't feel all that comfortable since it felt like my knees were going into my chin. Maybe that changes when underway.

It doesn't. I had forward controls
on mine but had the mid-mount standard pegs also to allow position changes while touring. It (and the sportsters) really needs rearsets, IMO. Great bikes, though.

My first thought when sitting on the bike was that with a higher seat, the foot pegs would be ok. What is the seat height on a Super Glide. I don't remember exact numbers, but I believe most cruisers are under 30" probably more like 27" - 28" in height. Figure most sport bikes are in the 31"-32" seat height range. I wonder how that would work out?

I put a thicker touring seat plus a Sheepskin on my FXD, it helped a lot. Still needed rearsets to be truly comfy, though. For me.
