Hello again Tim, I'm located in Jewett City. Like Blackie says, keep an eye on the region 6 posts as there are often rides planned. I swing by the Bean pretty often when I go for rides (especially on Sunday rides). I'll send you a message or post up  (or both) when the next opportunity comes along.

Hi all, just found this site and signed up.  I live in the CT shoreline area, currently ride a 2010 Concours 14.  Been riding for over 40 years, grew up on dirt bikes, and then moved to sport touring machines. I’ve been riding Honda VFRs for the last 17 years and decided it was time for something different - a little bigger, a little more comfortable, but still sporty enough to be lots of fun. So the C14 fit the bill perfectly. I enjoy solo and small group rides, do all my own wrenching, and am always looking for that next cool addition or improvement.  Looking forward to riding with some of you at the Region 6 events later this Spring!

Hey Tim,

Welcome, I live in Colchester and work in Waterford, Rt 85 all the way.  Can't wait for MotorSports Nation to open on Crossroads, about 1/4 mile from where I work.

With all the comments about The Bean, maybe we should set up an meet and greet for Saturday.

I hadn't heard about MotorSports Nation moving in - it will be great to have a more local shop!

Meet & greet at the Bean sounds good but I can't do it this week...  my bike is off line for a few days while the ECU is being reflashed at Guhl Motors in PA.  The C14 is really neutered in low end torque by the stock ECU that limits the inlet butterflies opening in lower gears.  The reflash fixes that and allows full power to the operator - the way it should be!  I should have it back next week and be back on the road.

Hello everyone!

My name is Kyle Jaquess and I am a graduate student at California State University, San Bernardino, as well as an avid motorcyclist. I've been riding for about 4 years with still so much to learn. My current bike is my Triumph Street Triple R Smile

I am currently working on a research project examining the behaviors of motorcyclists. The survey details are still getting finalized, but I hope to get some support from the riding community on various forums for participation in this project.

So if you'll keep an eye out in the next couple months, I will post again with more details Smile

Thanks for reading!

Hey Everyone,

Just want to introduce myself as this is my first post here.  I bought a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 in April last year and have over 10,500 miles on it so far and haven't had a lick of issues.  My big trip for this year is the west coast: San Diego-Portland (or Seattle not sure yet) with my wife on back starting Memorial Day weekend for 2 weeks.  I've got a lot of planning to do before then and will need some help gearing up (new seats, hard bags/trunk, GPS, route etc) so I'm really hoping that some vets who have done the trip before me will be able to help point me in the right direction as I've never been to California before.

Thanks!

Hi all,

I'm new to ST.N and motorcycling in general, and wanted to say hi! The Frenchman finally convinced me to register, so here I am, blaming him entirely.

I live in little ol' Delaware; I passed my MSF course a few months back and have a KZ 440 (or will once it's put back together), but as of late all of my riding has been 2-up. I'm looking forward to getting some miles on my own once I have a working bike and weather permits. I'll be trading the KZ for an SV this year and hopefully getting out on some jaunts here and there on the east coast.

Any suggestions or advice for newbies is greatly appreciated!
