Hi all,

I'm new to ST.N and motorcycling in general, and wanted to say hi! The Frenchman finally convinced me to register, so here I am, blaming him entirely.

I live in little ol' Delaware; I passed my MSF course a few months back and have a KZ 440 (or will once it's put back together), but as of late all of my riding has been 2-up. I'm looking forward to getting some miles on my own once I have a working bike and weather permits. I'll be trading the KZ for an SV this year and hopefully getting out on some jaunts here and there on the east coast.

Any suggestions or advice for newbies is greatly appreciated!

Liz

I have no idea who you are but welcome and enjoy the fun.  Bigok

Lots to talk about (what oil, tires are the best, FJRs are too heavy, HD bashing and the like stuff)

Been here a few years and still learn something new from time to time.
Mostly good folks, just beware of the dungeon. (lots of post counts but not a lot of substance, unless you like to argue )

Just sayin Hi , I ride a 99 Kawasaki Concours that I bought myself as a Christmas present after a 25 year hiatus from riding . My previous bike was a 1974 Honda CB550 with a Vetters Windjammer 2 fairing . I first learn to ride by being secretly taught by members of the motorcycle club my dad belonged to when I was 14 . Hopefully I'll be able to pick up alot from the members of this forum since I'm planning to take a cross country trip the spring/summer .

Hi all, came to this forum through a member on our local Guzzi forum (stradavarious.ca). He's known as bubba zanetti on here. Been riding on the street since 1972 (first bike was a new T500 Suzuki). I road raced solo bikes and sidecars in the PNW for 13 years. Currently enjoy riding the Guzzi's. My other passion is boating (hence the username). It's difficult getting as much riding in as I would like due to the boss wanting to be on the water although she is allowing me to ride New Zealand for most of February. Old age prohibits me from remembering all the bikes I've owned.

Been riding for 28 years, on and off through the years.  Riding literally keeps me alive after my wife passed away from breast cancer in November 2008, it's one of the only things I look forward to.  I have a Yamaha FJR1300 and a Yamaha FZ6.  Ride moderately aggressive and often, anytime I can.  Needed some input on tires and found some good advice here.

Welcome!

You will find all sorts of advise here on all sorts of subjects. Some of which may be relevant, most of which will not be.

I am very sorry for your loss, good to see you moving forward.

What is your location?

Putting it in your profile will help folks to get to know you and be helpful in hooking up for rides.

I'm on the left coast ..... so far I managed to sneak in about 800 miles in the past 3 weeks despite our prolific rain and our lil snow  storm we had here in WA state .. the extended trips I;m thinking of taking are one back to Ohio to visit friends or on to San Antonio TX to visit a cousin I haven't seen in nearly 20 years who just happen to get a new bike this past year too . Both trips look to be about 5600 miles round trip for either .
