Garry's 2006 Year In Review Video/Slideshow

I had a good year on the bikes. Not sure what my final mileage is/will be, but it's in the 18K mile ballpark. No tickets. No crashes. One pucker moment (big slide on gravel). Rode in eight states (PA, OH, WV, VA, MD, NY, NJ, NC). Went to several multi-day rallies/gatherings. Ending the year with about 14K miles on the Ninja bike and 11K+ on the Wee Strom (started with 9666 in October).

I take a lot of pictures when riding and assembled about 200 of them into a slideshow/movie made with Microsoft Movie Maker. It's a 6 minute video (23 Mb download). I've been cleaning out the basement/studio and came across a demo of a song I wrote from the early 90s. I decided to use it as the background music for the vid. I'm playing all the instruments. It's just a demo, but it's not too bad a recording. Enjoy!

That was great.    This year's been kinda sucky for me bikewise, so its good to know a few people are out there racking up the miles, even if it aint me.

Was poking around on the PC tonight and totaled up my miles for the year so far (still riding!): 17,930

Looks like I'm going to break 18K for sure. I guess I under-estimated a bit in the original post. Almost no commuting miles this year either. Sunny with a high around 50 on Saturday. Might have to go riding...

You've always had quite the eye for photography, great images!  So, is that you on 6 stings or 4 in the track?  I was holding up one hand in a fist while rocking my head up and down.

I did everything: wrote the song, played all the instruments (guitars, bass, drum programming), plus recorded and mixed it. Glad you liked it. The song is actually too long IMO, especially the intro, but it was only a demo to capture the idea for later use/abuse. The length was about right for the number of photos I selected though, so I made the slideshow fit the amount of music I had.
