Harley-Davidson Rocker revealed
By Ben Purvis
09 July 2007 17:00
Taking inspiration from the custom chopper scene, Harley-Davidson has created a whole new line of bikes in its Softail range – the Rockers.
Two Rockers will be offered in the 2008 range, the standard £12,755 Rocker and the £14,225 Rocker C.
Both versions gain a massive 240-section rear rubber and a new “Rockertail” version of the Softail rear end designed to hold a rear fender that hugs the back tyre.
See the new Harley-Davidson Fat Bob, here.
The Harley-Davidson Nightster is coming to the UK, click here.
The basic Rocker features a single seat and satin alloy effect for the oil tank, forks, instrument panel and bars.
The higher-spec Rocker C gets chrome forks and wheels, plus a colour-matched oil tank and swingarm, with flame graphics on the tank and hugger. It also gets Harley’s new “Trick” seat arrangement, which looks like a small single seat, but features a fold-out pillion pad stored underneath, which allows it to carry a passenger, who appears to hover over the back wheel.

They look nice. Like just about every other "custom" bike. But then again, my XX looks like every other XX. Not my style, but they're probably 100% better quality-wise than 95% of the "custom" bikes.

with neverending money, i'd get one. but that's true of just about every bike out there. well, not every bike. I would get this one and NONE of any other chopper. I bet this is a reasonable bike, esp if you could get mid controlls.

Agreed. I think that stretched custom look is complete ass, but... they sell. *shrugs* Agreed, you can probably even *ride* the thing without parts falling off it. Some of those customs are just plain scary when you look too close at 'em.

I saw one of these in Crimson Red on the road today with temp tags on it. The guy must have just purchased it.
I LOVE the looks of this bike.
Unfortunately, I just looked up the price.
Starting at
$19,499
!!!!
Oh well, the Rocker has been added to my lottery wish list, I'll never spend that much of my personally earned $$$ on it. But, that won't stop me from test riding it!
