I got a haircut today at a new place because I was unhappy with the guy who'd been cutting it.

So, I'm telling the woman what I want, plus I threw my jacket in the next chair and when she finishes she says that oughta not give you any trouble with the helmet.  (very short)

My haircuts have taken into account riding for years.  I've buzzed it a few times even.

So, what about other ST.N members?  Does your coif reflect your passion?

Yep, the cut is because of the bike.

Used to have pretty long hair, more moppish than anything.  Helmet hair pretty much did away with that, so now it's all buzzed and stuff.

Cut it myself (of course):  #6 on top, #2 on sides.

Almost High and Tight.

Amy gives me a buzzcut on a regular basis.  I'm too lazy to take care of that crap on top of my head anyway. Lol

Hair?  Wazzat?  Headscratch

That stuff you used to find in the drain after a shower.

I've got that whole 40-something expanding forehead, thinning top thing going on and no matter what I do, I always have helmet head. People at work even comment on it when my hair doesn't look like crap. "Didn't ride the bike today Garry? You don't look like a mad scientist today!"

Half mine has fallen out anyway, but I just do the #2 clipper head buzz cut and go on my way. I never have to worry about Helmet Hair.  Thumbsup

I spend $30 on some clippers about 13 years ago. I cut my own hair every month or two, I keep it about an inch on top, and close on the sides....and don't have to pay someone $18 to do it for me. And it still looks messy after taking off the helmet!

I'm trying to enjoy it while I got. It's just like the song says: "You never have to cut it cause it stops by itself."

Hmmm... I've had a high and tight haircut since I first joined the Army in 1990.  I got out in '99, and still have the high and tight... I've tried to grow my hair out a couple of times, and I hate it.  Nothing beats being able to comb your hair with a washcloth.

Oh and yeah, my wife has been cutting my hair for me since '92.  I used to be required to have a fresh haircut every week, and that adds up.  My wife cuts my hair about every 3 - 4 weeks now.  I've probably gone through 4 pairs of clippers over the years...

I had long hair for a couple of years. Rita complained because when she vacuumed the floor, she'd get the hairs on the carpet wrapped around the roller. Finally I got it cut with a #5 and lately Rita's been doing it.

The worst part though is my eyebrows. If I don't trim them back, they grease up the sunglasses. So Rita trims them too.

Since I started riding to work, my hair is now much shorter. I just have to scrunch it off of my scalp a little. I'm not opposed to helmet hair in general but I probably shouldn't wear my helmet hair at work. Short hair solved the problem. I still keep a ball cap in my tank bag for my weekend adventures. Old habits you know... Cool

I have never had long hair but I did have someone when I lived in OKC who did my hair well even for being somewhat short. When I moved to Austin I couldn't find anyone that I liked and combined with the heat/humidity down here and wet head after 5 minutes (perspiration is not a problem for me) I finally bought some clippers. So now about every 3 weeks I buzz my head.

#3 on top and a #2 on the sides, so yes it does. I also wear a hat more often now,

Man, I've learned two things from ST-N this week:

1. You guys are old!
2. You guys are cheap!

 Lol

I use to cut my own hair all the time and would cut other people's hair while in college for pocket money. However, as I've gotten older cutting my own hair has become a pain. I have a friend who cuts hair so she usually cuts it for me now for free. Yeah, I'm cheap too.  Lol

However, usually in the summertime I shave my head bald. However, I didn't do it this summer for some reason.
