I downloaded the app based on the advice I someone I trust, but haven't explored it yet.  Looks very promising.

AFAIK, it's basically BT link to the phone and either a wifi connection (not sure about range with that) or a phone connection to some cloud/hub. I assume you call in to a number, Sena keeps track of who's who, and routes traffic appropriately. If you're in a group who's basically in sight each other, no problem. Buildings and hills can be an issue, granted. Based 1st hand experience, I've very rarely broken contact with whoever I'm connected to. If things really come apart, a simple phone call (via the intercom) gets it done.

IMHO, I think it's mostly an answer in search of a question.

If you're dead, you don't know it, and it's only difficult for others. It's the same way when you're stupid...
