I'm posting this question here 'cause there doesn't seem to be an "Admin" forum yet...

On the "old" STN, there was a limit of 5 photos per post. This was a bit of a hassle (even though I understand it's to prevent people from putting 50 pics in one post)...and now it looks like the limit has been lowered to only 4 photos per post.

Can we (at least) please bump it back up to 5? Ideally, it would be AWESOME if the limit could be set at 10 or 15—this would make it a lot easier (e.g. less time-consuming) for people to post ride reports with pics.

Alternatively, would it be possible to up the limit for just the Ride Reports forum (and keep it low everywhere else?) Or maybe we could have high- and low-bandwidth ride report forums?

Thanks!
Scott

Agreed!  The pic limit is really a PITA in the ride report section. Baaa

Scott,
Looks like you made it back! I was waiting for the final installments of your ride when STn went down. Have you posted your full trip w/pics anywhere?

...and now back to your regularly scheduled thread.......

Having a pic limit is just silly anyway. The page doesn't load any faster/slower if you have 4 posts with 4 pics each or one post with 16 pics.

I'd be happy to eliminate attached photos and force people to find off-site hosting for images (PhotoBucket, etc). Saves STN bandwidth and you get the full-res picture without those annoying thumbnails.

I'm in total agreement regarding photobucket.  If keeping this site small-ish raises its chances of survival, I say lower the quantity of pics that can be attached.  Thumbnails on vBulletin stink, and most image hosting sites are FREE. Smile

Hi Max! No, I haven't posted my ride report yet, but I plan to soon. I'd love to post it here...but I don't want to lose it again! So I'll probably post it on my own site and link to it. Stay tuned!

*Bump*

Are we still set at a 4-pic-per-post limit? (Just wondering.)
