For you locals in Delmarva, what are some of your favorite roads out there? I've got my version of a "Delaware loop" that will take me from the dry side of the Ches Bay Bridge over towards Lewes Point on down to Assateague and back. I don't try to take the same route twice.
I just like to stay away from the busses et al on 404 if at all possible
The route isn't anything fancy, but it does a good job of getting me out on the road to breathe some fresh air.

Well being as you know there are limited numbers of ways to cross the bay...........When I commute, I go North up 301 to centerville, and wind around Queenannes county and Carlione country to Denton. Got to cross that darn river. Then more back roads to federalsburg. Id be glad to show you around some time.

Good Morning! New to the forum here. It looks like you guys host a great forum here with lots of information. I spend most of my time over at the pelican forum
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=24
which is specific to my bike. Anyway, I noticed a few of you are right in my area, Doug Just Doug, Chornbe and JReazor. Maybe we could hook up sometime for a ride.

Hi all,
I'm new here as well. I live in Easton and ride a 1992 Honda ST1100. Most of my time is spent hanging around the MY-MC board with the ST guys.
I own an auto repair business that takes up most of my time so riding is usually limited to a few hours on the weekend around the Shore. We do travel some with a camper and I take the bike along when we are not kayaking. I have a chance to do both today and opted to take the bike for a 100 mile spin. Don't know where I will go, but I'll be hitting the road in a few minutes.
One of my favorite areas to ride is lower Dorchester County (Blackwater Refuge). Pretty country and not much traffic. You just have to watch the tides! There are a couple spots where the road is covered at high tide and I refuse to ride my bike through salt water.
Looking forward to meeting some of you.

I used to live in Onancock, Va and worked on Wallpops Island.
I may be back down that way this summer for vacation with the family.
If I do I may have to throw the KLR in the back and go for a ride.

Hi everyone,
I'm yet another newbie, and this is my first post
. I too, live in the land of pleasant living: Queenstown, MD (just moved there after 11 years on Kent Island). I try to get out and ride whenever possible but having built a new house (moved in this fall), I know my services are going to be heavily booked this spring/summer: deck construction, landscaping, etc.
. That doesn't mean I won't ride, just not as much as I would like. BTW, my "ride" is a '06 Triumph Sprint ABS; Sunset Red
and with only a little over 4K on the clock, she's itching to rack up some miles! If you don't mind me tagging along, I'm definitely up for rides (especially on backroads), whenever possible. My riding style is accommodating: while I generally prefer a "brisk" pace, I make it a point to ride at my fellow riders' comfort level. After reading earlier posts, I know many are hesitant (and in some cases refuse) to ride with others not wearing appropriate gear. No worries: my wife (pillion) and I both gear up: jackets = mesh in the summer, leather when it's not; gloves, boots, etc.
I really meant to just introduce myself; this ended up being longer than I intended... my apologies.

Where's the shop in Easton? I get down that way every so often and want to talk about ST's.
My wife and I did a little four wheel touring through the Blackwater Refuge area, down to Hooper Island, this past fall and it's a great place! The wind was blowing like stink out of the southwest, making the causeway to the island ...ah... interesting. It's one of the few times I was really glad to have aroof over my head.

Rick,
My shop is not far from Rt. 50 and two blocks away from Ruby Tuesday on Rt. 322.
The ride down to Hooper Island is one that I enjoy a good bit. Nice road, little traffic and pretty country (if you like FLAT). Here is a photo of the causway not long after Isabel took her toll. The Bayside guardrail was ripped off and much of the pavement as well.

Sure I know where that is. What's the shop's name?
Impressive shot of the causeway without the Armco barrier!
