family in town, pretty busy weekend otherwise i would.

isn't Denny's Beer Barrel Pub soon? I have some great roads in mind to get there...

I think that is not being held this year.  At least, an official meeting.  We can form a flash mob and go.   Thumbsup

ah, gotcha. few weekends ago i took the bike to PA and followed an awesome route that would take us to bedford, which is a little more than halfway to clearfield. would also be a good route for a long day ride.

Good thing there was no group plan for a stop at Morton's.  I did get there and got some new gear (thanks, Dot! ) .  On the way I stopped for gas and the bike didn't start.  All the signs of the battery giving up the ghost.   EEK!  The bike finally started and the friendly service at Morton's was able to fit in replacing the battery (thanks, Morton's! ) .  So I did get there and back home, just a lot later than I had planned.

Out tomorrow with Theo.  No particular plans.  Coffee at a convenient gas station?

It was nice! Had coffee with hov, tested out the new suit, took some chips out of my helmet....

http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n302/peter_anon/hovcoffee.jpg

If you look carefully, you will see my helmet starting to fall off the bike.  This was two minutes after hov told me he always puts his helmet on the ground so it doesn't fall off the bike.  I should listen to him.   Rolleyes

Beautiful day out.  It could only be made better if Dot were home.   Sad

Yeah, a little late. I checked out Winchester and Boyce but didn't see anybody so I gassed and took off.

Peter isn't making that up -- his helmet is in mid-flight.  I had just told him the one time I put my helmet on the seat (last summer, Cupertino, on the way to Seattle), the freakin' thing fell, straight on the top.  Now, not a big deal, but I was 3,000 miles from home. . ..

from the pic, looks like i bumped the bike with my leg. . .or we had an earthquake this am.  fwiw, this was the retake pic, when peter asked for "a wave."  sorry

No problem.  More likely the bike got tired of having a helmet placed on it, so the bike shrugged it off.  Damn rr....
