Duck began this thread in April '05 with a simple post, "Does anyone want to ride?" Eighteen months later this thread had over 3,000 posts.
Picking up where we left off:
Duck said goodbye to Bubba in favor of a new dual sport that he's ridden the heck out of. Unfortunately, Duck hasn't yet learned that a dark visor and dark nights don't mix. He has scored electrics. Electrics are good;
Mrs. Duck doesn't have electrics and isn't about to ride in the cold;
Sling introduced Mr. RC-51, his new trick race ride;
Peter traded his DC United replica for a new, shiny black, BMW bike, cracked a ton and is now a confirmed squid;
Dot is ramping, strafing cloverleafs throughout the Northern Virginia area with Sadie, her bike;
Dave scored a GPS, is yearning for electrics and has sucked in some new riders;
Joey is still Joey, although he is now a Yammieless Joey;
Maximus cameoed at a Dave D sponsored ride;
Blue remains on hiatus;
Captain Kurt may still be in the area;
Ezra has decided to take a break, generously spreading his gear among myself, Duck and others; and
Sunny is still for sale.
On the non-rider front, my daughter Katie had an emergency appendectomy, received great thoughts and beautiful flowers from the Ducks and others, but was recently readmitted with a post-operative infection. She's out now, but has a rigorous regimen of at home i.v. antibiotics ahead of her.
Witih all that, I think we need pie.
Anyone around this weekend?

Our group needs to decide where to post. The NoVa thread had a good run, but we lost it all overnight. I think we'll reach consensus over pie.

I can fix that.
Give me a cup of diesel no. 2 and a handful of high nitride organic fertilizer.

Although I only rode with your group once (actually, I rode with Joey....well, really I watched Joey's exhaust trail, but I digress), I truly missed keeping up with this thread and your adventures.
I'm glad this site is back!

You forgot to mention that riding behind DNA (Dave) is still dangerous, but you can easily find him by following the oil trail.

Hehe, how did his bike get to be the Valdeez?
The exhaust is quite fragrant, though.

I have been told it is running quite rich - but the mechanics say it is "normal". The milage is good so
I guess if I get an expensive off road can that might help - but why bother.
The oil usage has slowed considerable once I properly installed that little oil seal... it seems leaving it out was not a good idea after all. Now it is hardly using any at all.
Aren't you all glad I don't design and maintain airplanes?

On some other forum, in some alternate interverse, there was a thread which included posts about riding on Sunday. Was that just a dream?

Everyone is changing their names to 3-letter capitalized acronyms. Do I have to do that too?
