Knees elbows and don't forget the hip pads if you can fit them in your dirt pants.
Falling over hurts more than it used to especially the low speed ones on slick rocks....
Btw - gonna need the BIG chain saw....

Thanks for the reminder... Doing the H&M thing this week and totally forgot to grab the hip pads from the stich to put in the dariens. *check*

We went! We sat on bikes! We had fun!
Dot got to sit on a F800GT, like the one she preordered:
There were race bikes there:
Nicky Hayden's bike was there!

Nice pics. One of these years I'm gonna get there...
I spent the day getting ready for the Hare Scramble tomorrow. I made a last minute decision to ride the KTM instead to the CRF for the race. That meant I needed to put a new front tire and flip the rear tire on it. (After having just spooned on two new tires on the CRF the day before.)
A tire changing stand is starting to look more and more appealing. I'm plumb wore out.

went to the show late this afternoon. lame as usual. F800R was cool. F700GS seems like, what's the point? Lots of neat small bikes from Honda if you're into that. And as always, shitty accessories. Why do no real gear manufacturers come to the show?

We were disappointed by the low number of gear manufacturers/distributers. Dot is considering new gear and it is harder for women to get the proper size; it would have been nice for her to try on some gear.
New topic: Anyone have a fiber optic video borescope I could borrow? I recently replaced my car; now driving a '09 BMW 135i. Obviously I got it used. When I began to drive it a bit spirited, there was a definite sound which was like metal on hard plastic. After some bafflement, I looked under the seats. There I found vent tubes for heat/ac to get to the rear area. The tubes simply end, with no covering. Given that, I found a deserted parking lot that had a notable slope. I drove to the lower end, pointed to the high point, and gunned it. After a couple of runs I got two quarters and a penny out from the tubes and no more sounds. Now I am wondering what else is in there. Since I don't want to remove the seats to get the tubes out, I was hoping to borrow a scope.

What kind of gear? I'm still sitting on a one piece stich that might work for her. Also have some women's MX boots and Stella body armor that she might enjoy.

I have no bore scope but I am interested in this 135i.
You went from a Prius to that? What's next, Obama buys an AR-15?

Let's see... Spent some money to get 2 bikes prepped, ate a vacation day, made the 5 hour round trip, and stayed long enough to watch the race start from the sidelines.
Vertigo from my Menieres hit me when I was about 2/3rds of the way to the track this morning. I was hoping it would pass before I got there, it didn't. Then I hoped it would pass in time for me to start the race, it didn't. Then I hoped I could get home under my own power (which I did manage to do eventually). Slept for a few hours and now starting to feel better. Mostly just feeling a bit pissed off and downtrodden at the moment.
So, how them 'Stones?
Ain't getting old great!

Well, that sucks. But glad that issue (which I will google shortly) didn't cost you more than some time and money. A high speed header into a tree would have been worse that dealing w/ a long ride and a vacation day.
No issues w/ stones since the initial day. Fingers crossed and water consumed.
I still say you should set up mini hare scramblers on the property. You could get all practiced up and then win every event.
I would be totally into that. I might be able to podium in the 250cc and below dual sport category.

Made it to Jalisco in Front Royal yesterday. Saw 55, Free State, Ada, Crest Hill and 522. . ..
Cloudy, with a bit of rain on the return. All in all, nice day.
