E-Z Up? Quik Shade? What's good? Bad? Do I need sandbags for the poles?

An old Quik Shade. I think that's what it is. Tying it down to the van at two corners, a tool box at another corner, and either a fuel bottle or a takeoff tire works just fine. If you are really concerned about wind, you can turn up the corners so it lets wind out easier.

Whatever is cheap cause its gonna get destoryed in Spokane eventually.
Next year I plan to upgrade and get a nice 10x20 EzUp brand canopy. It'll be nice to completely cover the side of my trailer with an ezup.

I use a First-Up. Why? Because I got it for free from my brother. LOL.
My Nephew is into the MX scene and my brother goes around and collects the scraped canopys any weekend that the weather tosses a bunch of them around and he rebuilds them by scavenging parts from some and using it on others.

Don't listen to the mossbacks up in the PNW when it comes to any type of shade device.
EZ-UP's are good with the exception of the 9'x9' base model. They last a long time (10 years) and are really quick and easy to set-up and take down. I'd recommend getting one with a black top. I bought a white one at a discount and ended up spending a lot time under the black covers of my pit mates. More shade and cooler temps. If I was going to buy another, I'd also pay the extra few dollars for the powder coated version. 10'x10' was all I ever needed.

E-Z Up 10x10 from Sam's Club, about $150. Had it for 5 years and no problems.

I had a Quick Shade until the Spokane Hurricane Monster ate it. After watching the E-Z Up in my neighbors pit survive with no damage, I'll be forking out the money for a 10x10 E-Z Up next year.
For weighting it down, I use my loading straps attached to my rain tires/wheels and a couple of 5 gallon plastic buckets filled with water. Water buckets serve double duty for trying to drown myself when I get my arse handed to me by a cute 110# blonde Canadian girl.

Check out the fourth

down. If I could keep up and not target fixate, Spidi's will have never looked so good.
And to keep this on track, I think she and her team use E-Z Up's.

I think someone needs to pass her this thread. You all would be in so much trouble.
